Maintenance Programming 

We offer the experience and understanding of complex and challenging environments within London architecture and landscapes. Knowledge of plant suitability, seasonal and remedial intervention, as well as creative solutions are necessary to provide maintenance programmes that are specific to clients and gardens.

Restoration of neglected gardens

 Corrective pruning. repair fences, trellising, staking, irrigation, paving, turfing, reseeding, weeding, artificial lawn and refurbishing of garden furniture.

 

Hedge cutting and leaf clearance

New hedges require pruning to maintain shape for their first couple of years after planting. After this, maintenance trimming is carried out, usually once a year for informal hedges and twice a year for formal hedges. Some formal hedges may need three cuts a year. 

Hand-held hedge shears are fine for smaller hedges, but for large hedges you'll probably find it easier to use an electric or petrol hedge trimmer.

Pruning and training

Weeds can be controlled without resorting to weedkillers. Cultural or organic control measures rely on killing or restricting the weeds by physical action, from manual removal to smothering, burning and using weed barriers.

​Chemical control should is also effective, greater care should be undertaken as there are multi purpose products which may include moss irridication, weed killing and feeding.
